Revolutionaries

Cory Humes is the content director for Most Valuable Network, responsible for maintaining the overall quality of MVN's creative work, moderating user activity and supporting MVN's staff, partners and volunteers.  He joined MVN in early 2007 as a blogger covering the Pirates at Pittsburgh Lumber Co. but transitioned into a front office role, first overseeing the network's baseball blogs and later its communications.  His last Pirates post prior to starting Pirate Revolution was made when Neal Huntington chose the initial members of his front office staff. Nicolas A. Lewis recently came to MVN's staff as a weekend editor and writer after covering sports for Blogcritics.org. He currently blogs about a variety of sports at MVN Outsider, but is primarily focused on college games and the NHL. A lifelong Pittsburgher (or thereabouts) he has a vested interest in all of the city's sporting successes and now joins Pirate Revolution's coverage of the righting of a listing ship. Alan Smodic:  For as long as I've known, I've been hooked on the Pirates. I'm old enough to remember (I won't mention his name)'s slide. Not much before that, but that sticks in my mind. I grew up on $6 general admission tickets to Three Rivers Stadium and season ticket giveaways at Piratefest. I've won an autographed game-used bat/hat from Kris Benson and even had the pleasure of hugging his wife, Anna. I bleed black and gold and no number of losing seasons can take away my love of Pirates baseball. From Jermaine Allensworth to Nate McLouth, I've stood by this club and I firmly believe that one day we will rise again. Contact Alan at alan.smodic
