Podcast No. 1: Sifting through Meetings Chatter, Wilson Rumors and Rule 5 Draft

In the first episode of Pirate Revolution's podcast, hosts Cory Humes and Alan Smodic attempt to make sense of the headlines coming out of Las Vegas and Major League Baseball's winter meetings.

As the ink dries on Adam Everett's contract with the Detroit Tigers, the question must be asked:  Did Neal Huntington hold onto Jack Wilson for too long?  Will the trade market dry up, leading fans to point to this non-move as a blunder in the same way David Littlefield is criticized for reportedly passing over Jair Jurrjens?

The guys also sift through trade rumors involving Paul Maholm, Nate McLouth and Ian Snell, and discuss the futures of John Grabow, Adam LaRoche and Freddy Sanchez.  Should these players be dealt away in favor of minor-league depth, or do they represent the core of the next pennant-winning team in Pittsburgh?

Finally, the Rule 5 draft is previewed, with both Cory and Alan hoping for at least one pick to be made by the Pirates this Thursday.  The episode is about 28 minutes in length.

Thanks for your patience as we get acclimated to multimedia production, and feel free to contact the Pirate Revolution team with any suggestions you may have.
